I am

Jessica McDonald

I am a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP), and the owner of Jessica McDonald Psychology.

Prior to opening my own private practice, I was involved in various mental health settings providing psychological support and assessments to a wide demographic of individuals, including Alberta Health Services, CUPS, McMan Youth Family & Community Services, and other local community based resources.

My work in counselling, consists of primary individuals 16 years and older. I am passionate about my clients living more purposeful and rewarding lives. My approach with clients is to provide them with tangible skills to better manage their emotions, help them manage their day-to-day stressors, and improve their overall coping. My ultimate goal is for clients to feel they are heard, seen, and understood.

My work in assessments, can be with individuals as young as 3 years old. My goal when I provide assessment services is for individuals and their families to feel I’ve listened to their concerns, heard their needs, and have provided solutions that will best support the individual and their family.
